Hi, I’m Rosie.Mundanely I am a single mom of 6 beautiful children ages 19 to 34, all of whom I homeschooled through high school.I have an B.A. in computational mathematics and an M.S.Ed. in special education. I spent several years as a public school teacher working mostly with learning disabled high schoolers, after which I focused on raising and teaching my own children.I began playing in the SCA in early 2017, and I live in the Middle Kingdom in the Barony of Brendoken. Currently, my A&S research focuses on historical sexuality with an emphasis on erotica, fetishes and sadomasochism. I am also interested in the intersections between sex and religion, and sex and the law. I teach classes on these topics and classes on how to do research, organize your work and share it with others. I am also skilled in a variety of fiber arts, I teach a couple hands-on knot tying classes and enjoy crafting in my spare time. In 2019 after meeting a group of Known World Courtesans at the War of the Wings in Atlantia, I decided a courtesan persona was the best fit for both me and my research.Rosie Dubroc lives in the late 14th century in southern France. She is a former courtesan, who now rents out space in the home she owns to several younger prostitutes. She is well educated, independent, and has always been able to earn a good living and take care of herself.
