Saint Cecelia's story comes from a fifth-century legend that has no historical evidence to support it. She was a Roman virgin who on her wedding day sang in her heart to got to protect her virginity. She then convinced her husband Valerian and his brother Tibertius to be baptized, leading them to be crowned by an angel and eventually executed for burying Christian martyrs. After converting hundreds of others, Cecilia is arrested and condemned to suffocation in hot baths. She miraculously survives the heat, as well as three failed beheading strikes, living for three days to preach to crowds before finally passing away.She is the patron saint of music and musicians.
