The oldest-known dildo dates back 28,000 years, is made of siltstone, found in the Hohle Fels cave in southwestern Germany. Due to its size, about eight inches long, some experts believe that these objects like these could have served as sex toys since there is no clear reason why our ancestors would have needed to use stone penises for shaping flint.
From as far back as 12,000 BCE, these are made from stone, bone, and antlers. They show piercings, foreskin, scars and tattoos.

This bronze dildo is from the 2,000-year-old tomb of an aristocrat in the Chinese city of Yizheng. Due to the ring attached to the dildo, it is believed that it was worn as a strap-on penis. However, it can't be determined if it was meant to be worn by a man or a woman.This is not the only strap-on penis that has been found, and historians tell us that each one was clearly made specifically for a different person. They are lightweight and were definitely made for use. Based on their various different bases we can speculate how they were worn and they might have been laced into place with leather or silk thongs.
A jade butt plug from the Han Dynasty (206BCE - 9 CE). Found in the tomb of an ancient king in the Chinese city of Yizheng.While its shape is undeniable, some experts theorize that its purpose was to keep the corpse's chi from leaking out of its rectum, rather than for sexual pleasure. Jade was believed to ward off spiritual and bodily decay and it was not uncommon to place in a dead body's orifices pieces of jade, or items carved out of jade before it was buried.But if you look at the base of this object, it flays out not unlike modern butt plugs. The flayed out base of a modern toy keeps it in place when in use. It is highly unlikely that a dead body would need to be worried about an object being accidentally sucked up inside, so I would guess that this object got a lot of use while the king was still alive.
This double dildo with two stone eggs attached was found in the tomb of Chinese prince from the Han Dynasty (113 BCE). Homosexuality was widely accepted during the this time in China, so this dildo was most likely used by two women playing together.
Double-sided dildos were usually carved out of wood or ivory, but this one from China's Sui Dynasty (581 - 618 CE) was made of marble. During this time, female homosexuality was common and free from the same taboos as male homosexuality.
